Our dear friend Mr. B recently told me he had bittersweet feelings about Judah's quickly developing language skills. "Pee-oh" has turned into "piano." "Jase" is now "Jason." Mr. B missed hearing those cute little toddler-speak words.
I am starting to understand what he was talking about. You are smack in the middle of toddler-speak, and I'm really going to miss it! You say hundreds of words perfectly, but there are probably a hundred more that only Daddy and I can really understand. Belty bun (belly button). Double boo (W). Ahh-juss (orange juice). Wawer (water). Patta (pasta). Geena ball (those poofy bath thingys). BABYYYYY (my cell phone...there is a picture of you on the screen).
Yesterday I heard a new one. I walked in on you and Daddy having breakfast, and you were saying "Apple-paws! Apple-paws!" with great urgency. You really wanted some applesauce with no delay. Daddy remarked, with a straight face, "I didn't know apples had paws!"
Which is why I love Daddy :)

ReplyDeleteI don't know about you, but I think he and Lily would make a wonderful couple...haha! : )
