This morning we did one of my favorite things: voting! You've been with me to vote twice before, but this time you came into the booth with me. Of course, everyone there thought you were adorable. Older women just love you.
One of the things I find interesting about this country is the sheer volume of complaining compared to the effort put into actually changing things. I've found that the people actually doing something to create a positive change in the world are too busy to complain! Many of the complainers can't even be bothered to exercise their voting rights. Today, for instance, the polling center was practically empty. It was the primary to elect the nominees for our representatives to the United States Congress...pretty important stuff! I suppose the lack of concern by so many could be one of the reasons why Congress is so completely worthless. Sigh.
Anyhow. Voting is important! Don't pass up the opportunity to vote whenever you can. It is great fun, whether it is for American Idol or the American President!
